Biohazards can occur in a wide range of workplaces, both within healthcare and beyond. Poorly maintained ventilation systems, for example, can pose a health risk to office workers – even if their role does not typically involve biohazards.

At the first midterm symposium of the SC Biohazards and Occupational Health (SCBOH), our goal is to identify overlooked health risks associated with biohazards in the workplace and discuss potential solutions to improve occupational health. The main purposes of the symposium are to share best practices, with networking another key focus.

The symposium provides an excellent opportunity to meet experts in the field. Your active participation is highly encouraged. Our call for abstracts welcomes submissions on all topics related to workplace biohazards. We look forward to incorporating your experience and expertise into this international conference.
